Orlando luxury vacation villas should allow you to enjoy your well-earned holiday in the most luxurious Orlando vacation rental homes that Florida has to offer. Whether you are visiting Orlando with your family for a visit to Disney World, or with your partner or buddies on a golfing trip, you will be seeking accommodation offering you something different from that you are used to.

orlando magic snapback

Orlando has great deal to offer, and although it best known to many for Disney World, the fairy-tale complex was not sited in this part of Florida by accident. The climate is ideal for a vacation, and the area offers lots to do and see, such as Gatorland, Universal studios and a host of golf courses in addition to all the night-life you want. It is one of the world's best known vacation destinations.

ORLANDO

If you are used to the best that life has to offer, why should your vacation home in Orlando offer you less? If you are like most of us, and enjoy a bit of luxury once in a while, just check out what Orlando vacation rental villas have to offer. Just as Disney can satisfy the imagination of your children, Orlando can cater for your imagination in what you might want in your vacation home.

If you want a pool and Jacuzzi or spa, you've got it. No need to share a pool with an entire hotel - you can have your own with a short term Orlando luxury vacation villa. You can also rent a town house, condo or estate villa in its own extensive grounds or as part of a complex. How about a gourmet granite kitchen, home cinema and entertainment system, or fantastic floors made of marble? You deserve a bit of luxury while on vacation: you have worked all year for it so why not pamper yourself?

Sure, if you are used to luxury you can likely book a top class hotel, but why cram yourself and your family into hotel rooms when you can enjoy the comfort of a proper home. You can enjoy the privacy and peace and quiet that you cannot get in a hotel, and many people opt for vacation estate villas just for these reasons. If the thought of cooking makes you shudder you are not forced to use the kitchen since Orlando boasts some of the best restaurants in the world.

There is a wide range of Orlando luxury vacation homes available for short term rental, with villas of up to eight bedrooms on offer. Such properties also offer up to eight bathrooms, and most have pools and spas with other luxury facilities. Considering the number of shopping malls and restaurants available in and around Orlando, these are genuine alternatives to hotel rooms. In fact the rooms tend to be larger and better furnished than the average hotel room, and many people prefer them.

Little wonder, then, that Orlando vacation rental villas are increasing rapidly in popularity, and if you take the current economic situation into consideration then they are suddenly compellingly attractive. You get a lot more for your money with a vacation villa in Orlando than with a hotel Normally, if you want experience the luxury that these Orlando luxury vacation rentals offer, you would have to book into a top class hotel at a fairly high room price. However, that need not necessarily be the case with a villa since the relative costs depend on the size of your family or party. This is easier to understand if you consider how the system works.

These villas are designed to offer luxury, and are decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The pool, spa and entertainment facilities have been previously mentioned, and some also offer a games room including a billiard table. Yet others are part of a complex, offering a gym, restaurant and other communal facilities.

You pay for the vacation villa by the day, irrespective of the number in your party up to an allowed maximum. For example, a typical 6 bedroom Orlando vacation rental villa sleeps 12 people at a cost of 5 daily during the summer and less the rest of the year, except special times such as Christmas. Compare that with the price of hotel rooms for 12 people and it is clear why this type of vacation accommodation is becoming increasingly more popular.

Add to that the privacy that your own villa offers, the peace of not having noisy people enter the room next door in the early hours and the increasing financial pressure being placed on families as the credit squeeze tightens and money becomes scarcer, and it is little wonder that the proposition is so attractive to so many people.

If you intend to vacation in Orlando this year or next then you will find Orlando vacation rental villas available close to Disney and to Orlando itself, and also near all the major tourist attractions in this part of Florida. You will not be disappointed with any of the Orlando luxury vacation properties available for short term rent.

Movie Lovers - Enjoy Your Visit to Universal Studios, Orlando

If you are fascinated by the movies and made-in-Hollywood films then a visit to the Universal Studios theme park in Orlando Florida is the golden opportunity to go on thrilling rides based on your favorite movies and to get behind the scenes and see how movies are actually made.

orlando magic shorts

There is a lot on offer at Universal Studios so here is a brief guide to what you can enjoy there.

ORLANDO

The first stop for film and movie buffs is probably the Production Central area of Universal Studios. You will find it just beyond the front gates it is a real working film and television production studio. If you are fan of the Shrek series, then be sure to take in the Shek 4D feature. Despite the name it is actually a 3D film, produced in "Ogrevision" and has the standard Shrek cast of Shrek, Princess Fiona, Donkey and Prince Charming.

Universal also combines standard roller coasters with film themes. An example of this is the Revenge of the Mummy ride. The Universal Studios website describes it as follows: "Plunge into total darkness as you face fireballs, scarab beetles, and an army of warrior mummies on a psychological thrill ride totally unlike anything that's come along in the past 3,000 years!" If that sounds attractive, then be sure to get on this ride.

If you are a science fiction fan then Universal Studios is the right place for you. The Terminator series was a scary look at the near future and the Terminator attraction at Universal Studios and the Terminator 2: 3-D Battle Across Time is sure to thrill fans of the film series. Universal claims that is one of most technologically advanced of theme park rides, on this planet.

Speaking about planets, would you like to help the Men in Black protect the Earth from alien threats? If so then do not miss the Men in Black Alien Attack ride. Universal created 120 creepy alien "species" for this attraction, and you get to ride in a six-passenger vehicle that is "armed" with laser guns. When you get in the vehicle you will chase the aliens through the streets of New York City and it is up to you to protect the planet by zapping the aliens.

One of the biggest blockbuster hits of Universal Studios in Hollywood was Jaws, and in Orlando Jaws is brought back to life in a thrilling ride. You get to face the three-ton monster in a flimsy boat and it is sure to get your adrenaline pumping.

There is of course, lighter entertainment at Universal including plenty of outdoors shows. The Blues Brothers Show and the tribute to comedy queen Lucille Ball are two very popular attractions at the park. And if you are looking for entertainment, then be sure to stay around for the night clubs, restaurants and concerts at the CityWalk area of this theme park. CityWalk combines dining, shopping and entertainment venues all in a compact and fascinating "downtown" area adjacent to the other attractions of the park.

All in all, Universal Studios lives up to its reputation as one of Orlando's major attractions.

Florence, Italy Cooking Classes

Some of the best food in Italy comes from Tuscany. And as the region's most visited city, Florence is the center of Tuscan cuisine. Unlike the food from Southern Italy, the cooking here doesn't rely on tomatoes, cheese, and other ingredients that Americans link to Italian food.

cordon bleu

Here, the emphasis is on seasonal local ingredients like wild boar, asparagus, truffles, and rabbit. And, of course, many dishes are prepared with the excellent wines from the region. Most of the dishes are easy to make, full of flavor, and designed to stick to the ribs.

CORDON

If you'll be in Florence for a few days, and you'd like to learn more about Tuscan cuisine and how to prepare it, half- or full-day cooking classes are a fun way to meet others, have a good meal, and acquire some new skills. Several classes are taught in English most days of the week.

One of the best-known cooking schools is the Culinary Institute of Florence, which falls under the Apicius International School of Hospitality. Students can take everything from a one-day course to a masters degree program here. If you have the time, the one-week program includes individual and group lessons, wine tastings, markets visits, and more.

Silvia Maccari is a well-known Italian cookbook author and food expert who teaches classes in her lovely apartment. The day starts with a tour of the San Lorenzo market, where student pick up what they'll use to prepare their meal. Back at the apartment, the class makes four courses, and then enjoys them together with wines that Silvia has selected to go best with the dishes.

The Scuola de Arte Caulinaria Cordon Bleu has been in the center of Florence since opening in 1985. Travelers who want to learn something specific, like making chocolates, pastas, or appetizers will find a wide variety of courses at this cooking school, ranging in length from one day to three months.

Well-known chef Giuliano Bugialli has been teaching classes at his Cooking in Florence since 1973. The school is located in Bugialli's 15th-century farmhouse in the Tuscan countryside. At the week-long course, students learn to make about 35 dishes, and enjoy dinners at local restaurants, wine tastings, and visits to area food producers.

Claudio Piantini teaches at the luxurious Relais Torres Guelfa in Figline Valdarno. One of the best parts of taking a class here is touring the beautiful cook's gardens that Piantini keeps and using the fresh herbs, vegetables, and fruits for the meal. When the weather is nice, dinner is served on the pool-side terrace.

Californian Judy Francini started Divina Cucina after moving to Italy in the 1980s. She offers one-day and one-week classes to a mostly American clientele. On Mondays, classes include a tour of the market and lunch at a charming Florence trattoria. On Wednesdays, classes are held at a friend's villa in the country.

How to Plan & Design a Tablescape For Rental Stores

Designate an area for the tablescape. Don't rip apart your showroom or table without a design plan. Include in the plan details of tablecloths, plates, china, etc. If you don't have a large area then a small table with a scaled down version of a full-size table display will do.

cordones

Cordon off the showcase area; set up a pillar or lattice divider to create a separation. These items serve to separate but don't fail to suggest that they can be rented also.

CORDON

Have all items ready on hand before you begin and placed nearby. Make sure to iron or steam any tablecloths or fabric that will be used in the display. Use 2 tablecloths an overlay and underlay. When you are ready to begin make sure you use good tables. Don't put great displays over broken tables a customer may want to add tables to their rental sale.

Make sure the centerpiece matches the theme or purchase props for your display.

Place as many rental items that you own on or near the table. Once the table is completed don't stop; think about adding more. Layer more products on the table than normal-add 2 table number holders, extra glasses and a coffee server set. Add covers to your chairs and ties. Add invitations. Add candles.

If the set-up is a wedding theme then place a satin or lace mailbox or a wishing well nearby.

The key is to show a tablescape that will stir your customer's imagination. More items on display may make the table seem a bit crowded but showing items for inspiration is what leads to a multiple rental sale. A good showroom is staged to rent!

How I Sold 37 Bottles of Wine in 45 Minutes at Trader Joe's

I shop at Trader Joe's regularly, and I always see people going up and down the aisles looking for a bottle of wine and not knowing what wine to take home. Frankly with the many choices available, and not knowing what's what, it is not always easy to choose the right wine.

cordones toms

So, I decided to do an experiment one day. One Saturday this last summer, I walked in to one of the Trader Joe's stores in San Diego, California with a clipboard in my hand, pretending that I am writing down a list of wines I like to get for an event. I walked up to every customer that came to the wine section and started looking at the wines for a minute or two, and told them, without introduction, about how good certain wines were in the section and how they tasted.

CORDON

Except for a few of the customers, most of them looked at me like I was a god sent. Almost, everyone of them grabbed a bottle or two of the wines I suggested, and thanked me for it. One guy even took 9 bottles of wine and filled up his hand basket. Keeping track of how many bottles people took, my tally read 37 after 45 minutes. I was so gratified to be able to make a difference in some people's lives by making them a little easier.

My goal has always been to contribute to the world in a positive way. I am happy I succeeded in this case.

Blizzard Beach in Orlando

Blizzard Beach? Where in the world is Blizzard Beach? Are you one of those people who has not heard of Blizzard Beach? Well, let me tell you about this crowning jewel of Orlando Florida and my trip to this exciting resort.

orlando florida

I discovered that Blizzard Beach was the only place in the state of Florida where I could find snow everywhere however I observed no ice what-so-ever. Blizzard Beach is a 66 acre plot of land developed as a water adventure park and located at Orlando's Disney World Resort.

ORLANDO

Only at Blizzard Beach did I experience a water park that appeared as a ski resort amidst a tropical lagoon. Blizzard Beach developed when a freak winter storm deposited snow upon the western portion of Disney World's property. With this idea in mind the management at Disney World developed the first Floridian snow ski resort.

Unfortunately, the planned did not quit develop as expected. The hot Florida temperatures soared higher and higher causing the ice and snow to quickly began to melt and disappear. The resort operators closed down shop just as quickly as they had opened their doors. Rumor has it that one of the operators noticed a small alligator sliding down the ice slopes and an idea was born. The operator realized that the melted snow created a very tall, fast and exciting water filled toboggan and ski run. As a result of these observations a ski resort and water adventure park developed and was born. The park was located north of the Disney All Star Resorts.

During my visit to the park I was greeted by the amazing views of "skiers" that were sliding down the side of a 90 foot snow crested mountain known as Mt. Gushmore. Mt. Gushmore is home to the parks newest waterslide affectionately called Downhill Double Dipper. This is the only side by side water slide which stands 50 feet in height and 200 feet in length. I ended up traveling 25 miles per hour caught in its twisting turns before finally being deposited through a shower of water. It also features a slalom course, both a water sled run and a toboggan slide. The 120 foot long Summit Plummet is the highlight of this theme park. This plummet is the nation's fastest and tallest free fall slide around.

Once I tired of the slides, I visited Teamboat Springs which brags as being the world's longest white water rafting ride anywhere. They take up to a family of six in a raft down the twisting 1200 foot water falls. Nearby I discovered the Toboggan Racer. This is an eight lane water slide which sends the guests racing over several exciting dips as they quickly descend the snow covered slope.

Don't think for one moment that the fun ends here for included in these 66 acres of land are the Snow Stormers, the Runoff Rapids and the Chair Lift. If you plan a trip to Orlando and specifically to the Disney World Resorts you should especially make plans to see Blizzard Park.

Tomato Plant Types - Vine Tomatoes Or Bush Tomatoes

Vine tomatoes are also known as indeterminate tomatoes or sometimes cordon tomatoes. These are the varieties that need to be pruned in order to limit the growth to a central stem consisting of around 4 to 6 trusses.

cordon bleu price

This is achieved by pinching out or pruning the side shoots and then, when there are the required amount of trusses, the main stem is cropped off at the top. If you don't do this then you will end up with an indeterminate amount of growth with lots of small fruit that is unlikely to ripen. The plants will also be prone to problems as the side shoots will run along the ground where they can pick up and are likely to contract disease.

CORDON

Another way of controlling the growth of these plants is to cultivate them in pots or grow bags, but as one would expect growing in containers is a little more labour intensive particularly when it comes to a watering system.

Bush tomatoes are the alternative tomato plant and are known as determinate because their growth is self limiting and as the name suggests are bush like in appearance.  The main disadvantage with this type of plant is that they tend to produce all their fruit within a very short time frame producing a short lived glut of tomatoes. Not great for the home gardener as you can end up with lots of tomatoes you cannot use fresh and have to turn to ways of preserving the fruit such as making chutney for instance.

For this reason many home gardeners tend to stick to the vine tomatoes that fruit regularly over the whole season, particularly when they have a reasonably long summer period.

What is a Shallot and How to Cook Them

If you're wondering what is a shallot, you might like to have a look through a French cookbook. Shallots are a very common ingredient in French food where you'll find their mild oniony flavor used in a wide variety of dishes and sauces. Learn a little bit about shallots with these tips and then give them a try. You'll soon find them nearly as indispensable as onions in creating your favorite recipes.

cordones

What Does a Shallot Look Like?

CORDON

Shallots do come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but in general they are smaller than an onion. They might be purplish or rose, as well as white or grey in color. They are shaped similarly to a garlic clove, although larger. Like garlic, you may find them in a head, with several shallots attached together. In general, when a recipe calls for a shallot, they are referring to an individual "clove" of shallot and not an entire head.

Selecting and Storing Shallots

Shallots tend to be moister then onions and therefore more susceptible to mold and rotting. When buying this vegetable, you'll want to look carefully for any beginning signs of mold. The shallot should have a dry feel to it, but it certainly shouldn't be shriveled.

You'll want to store your shallots like onions, in a cool dark place. A basket on your pantry shelf should work fine. It is best not to store them closely packed, as any mold will spread quickly if they are touching.

Preparing Shallots

Shallots are peeled similarly to an onion. Slice off the ends of the shallot, and then grab a hold of the thin skin and peel it back. In most French cooking the shallots are chopped more finely then an onion.

Cooking with Shallots

Although they are similar to an onion, there are some important differences in how shallots are used in French cooking.

Less is more. One or two shallots finely chopped are usually all that is needed to add a subtle, slightly sweet flavor to recipes. Go slowly. If your recipe calls for cooking the shallots in butter or oil, you should do so on a low temperature. Just like garlic, shallots can over cook easily. You want them to come out soft and slightly caramelized, not crunchy and bitter. Marry it well. Shallots are especially tasty when cooked with white wine, cream and butter. Substitute. Although there's nothing like the real thing, if your recipe calls for shallots and you have none on hand, you can try substituting an equivalent amount of red onion.

Now that you know what is a shallot, be sure to try them. You should be able to find them at your grocery store, and if not, please do ask for them. You'll be happy to find a wonderful and easy way to add new flavor to your cooking

Attending Top Culinary Schools Requires Some Cooking Knowledge

Boiling water without burning it may seem like a simple process but in reality there are some individuals who simply do not know their way around the kitchen. They cannot tell you the difference between sauté and broil. Culinary students who are interested in the top culinary schools must have some background in the kitchen if they hope to become an executive chef one day.

le cordon bleu books

They have to know the basics if they want that 'A' on their souffle. It can be a demanding career and one that is tough on the body, mind and ego but for those who have the determination the pay off is extraordinary.

LE CORDON

Top culinary schools are not everywhere. There are many located throughout the United States that offer a comprehensive cooking degree upon completion, yet there are some that do not and so you must go online. The only online school that may be applicable, should you want to run the front end of a restaurant, is The University of Phoenix with their Hospitality and Business Management program. However, this program will only teach you how to run the front of a restaurant, as it will not include any instruction in the culinary arts.

Many cooking colleges offer a special type of arts program that is world renowned. At the California School of Culinary Arts Pasadena, you can partake in the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts program, about which most people are most familiar.

It is a great curriculum that offers three distinct programs, which you can either take separately or all together. They offer the culinary arts program, a baking program and a program that focuses on Hospitality and Restaurant Management.

If you are not thinking about obtaining a certificate or degree and simply want to further your skills and knowledge in the kitchen, then you may want to think about specialized classes in one area of culinary delight. You could take a Thai cooking school class or even an Italian cooking school class to teach you how to make those wonderful dishes you order at restaurants.

Choosing from among the top culinary schools can be difficult for students. Not everyone is cut out to be a chef. Some people never aspire to learn how to make the dishes served in five star restaurants. But for those who persevere and learn the tricks of the trade it can be a rewarding career filled with excitement and advancement. It is a dream of a lifetime for those individuals.

Italian Wedding Cookies Recipe

I will be catering several weddings this spring, so I came up with my own version of Italian wedding cookies, after many trials, and a few errors to produce a delicate buttery cookie that is made with ground nuts. There are several different types of these cookies which include the Mexican Wedding cookies, often coated with a mixture of cinnamon and confectioners' sugar. The Russian Tea Cakes which can be made with ground hazelnuts, and Italian Wedding cookies which traditionally use ground almonds. All of them are delicious, and each recipe utilizes a different proportion of butter and flour. They are a very good suprise in you mouth, delicate little cookie. I would try all different types, or versions to figure out the one you like best.

cordones toms

These Italian Wedding cookies are buttery, delicate, and have a wonderful flavor. This is a very easy recipe to make, and they are worth the effort put forth for every cookie and crumble left.

CORDON

Italian Wedding Cookies:

1½ cups unsalted butter

¾ cup confectioners' sugar

¾ teaspoon salt

1 ½ cups finely ground almonds

4 ½ teaspoons vanilla bean paste

3 cups of sifted all purpose flour

1/3 cup confectioners sugar for dipping

First, preheat your oven to 325 degrees if you have an electric oven and about 300 to 315 if you have a gas oven. Gas ovens cook much faster than an electric oven depending on the oven. If you have a convection oven I recommend turning the fan off if you can, it will burn the cookies before they are fully cooked.

First you will soften and mix the butter in a bowl, and you will sift and then add the ¾ cup confectioners sugar and salt to the butter. You will then mix the butter, and sugar with salt mixture until it is light and fluffy. You will now add the ground almonds and the vanilla bean paste. You will then add the sifted flour in until it just mixed, you do not want to over mix, or overwork the dough. The cookies will not be very light in texture if you do.

Take about one teaspoon of dough in your hand at a time, and roll it into a ball. You will then place the rolled cookie dough balls on the parchment paper or an ungreased cookie sheet if you do not have parchment paper. You will then bake the cookies for 15-20 minutes. You will want to watch the first batch fairly closely and turn halfway through baking to ensure even cooking. You want to make sure to get them cooked but not too brown. Once the cookies are done you will remove from the oven, and cool the cookies for about five minutes, and then roll in the left over confectioners sugar.

You will then hold these little delicate cookies until you are ready for service.

Julia Child's - "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" - A Short History

Julia Child; born in Pasadena, California as Julia Carolyn McWilliams August 15, 1912.

cordon bleu liquor

Julia Child spent her early years in California where she grew up and attended school. Julia Child's first position out of college was with W. & J. Sloane as a copywriter in New York City. A few year in 1937 after her debut on Madison Avenue, Child's moved back to California, where she continued to write and work in advertising.

CORDON

Julia Child met her husband Paul Child, while serving with the OSS (Office of Strategic Services the forerunner of today's CIA) in 1944.

Paul and Julia were married in 1946 and soon after he joined the US Foreign Service. Paul Child had a taste for fine food, probably due in part to living in Paris prior to meeting Julia. As a employee of the US Foreign Service, Paul was sent to Paris in 1948, where he introduced his new bride to sophisticated French Cuisine. Julia described her first meal in Rouen, France as "a culinary revelation".

Paul's work at the embassy would keep him away from Julia most of the day, creating a void and desire to offset her boredom. So, Julia began to enrolled in many different classes. Eventually she enrolled in the famous Le Cordon Bleu cooking school. It was no easy task at first, being in a school of only men at the time, she had to learn to love cooking as much as she loved eating.

Julia Child's graduation from Le Cordon Bleu created an opportunity for her to meet the two women that would become co-authors of her first cookbook "Mastering The Art of French Cooking"; Simon Beck and Louisette Bertholle. The two had create a cookbook that featured French Cooking for Americans, but lacked the proper English translation. Julia was asked to join the women and added her own translation and special American slant to the manuscript.

Child's kitchen was used as the training grounds for American women to learn French Cooking and the trio began teaching classes and testing recipes from the Paris kitchen. During this time Julia's husband Paul, was transferred by the US Foreign Services to various locations throughout Europe. Julia moved with him, while continuing to write the book and test new recipes.

Although they spent most of their time in Europe, Paul and Julia would also spend summers in Maine. Julia made her first trip there in 1947, visiting Mount Desert, where Paul's family owned a 20 acre parcel. She continued to test and write even while visiting Maine. And according to her Brother-in Law Charles Child's book "Roots in the Rock", she used a stove nicknamed "John Henry", to cook her creative dishes.

It took Eight years to complete and in 1961, after it's rejection from publisher Houghton Mifflin, Alfred A. Knopf finally published the book. The final cookbook titled "Mastering The Art Of French Cooking" was a total of 734 pages. It became a best seller and put Julia Child on the map.

Julia Child's career blasted off from there, as she began to write columns for the larger newspapers along with TV guest appearances which lead to Julia Child's first television show "The French Chef". The show first aired in February 1963, there were other cooking shows on TV at the time, but Julia's was a huge success right from the start. Eventually running for more than ten years.

Julia Child also wrote four more books: a second from the recipes she created on the TV show "The French Chef Cookbook". The Third book "Mastering The Art of French Cooking; Volume II" came out in 1971, co-authored by Simone Beck (Louisette Bertholle was not asked to participate as the partner was dissolved). And a fourth book that featured Paul Child's photographs of Julia's kitchen and recipes.

Julia Child's mastery was viewed by millions on the TV shows of the 70's and 80', but didn't stop there. She also produce a video series in 1989 called "The Way To Cook". Julia Child's cooking, experimentation, openness to new ideas and tools (the microwave, food processor...) and her love of cooking, inspired many of today's fine chef's and TV cooking shows. Her love for cooking as well as eating shone through her many cooking programs.

You may recall Julia flipping an omelet that ended up on the counter, only to pick it up and place it back in the pan stating " just put it back in the pan if no one's around, they'll never know, just pat it down..."

Tips for a Disney World Vacation

Save money and time when you plan your trip. The following are some tips that you may wish to consider in your Disney world vacation:

It is better to book your trip in advance. The Disney World in Orlando, Florida peak season is between Christmas and New Year, however there are times of the year that value rates are offered and you may wish to take a hold of that. You probably would need a year planning on a vacation and 6 to 9 months would help you get rooms at the best rates as well.

Budget Dining in Orlando Florida

Who says that you have to spend big bucks to get a good meal? If you are vacationing in Orlando you can try out a number of local restaurants that serve good food at prices that won't break your budget. Here is an introduction to some of my favorite budget restaurants in the Orlando area.

orlando florida

Bennigan's Grill & Tavern (Many Locations)

ORLANDO

Bennnigan's boasts of offering 100 types of beer and other drinks as well, making its alcoholic menu greater than its food menu. The food is served in a loud, lively atmosphere. Some specialties include the fire-roasted salsa shrimp, charbroiled and basted in a smoky sauce, the Monte Cristo, combining ham, turkey, and Swiss and American cheeses on wheat bread that has been dipped in batter and deep fried. If you are watching your weight there are several healthy, low calorie "Health Club" dishes.

Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Cue 5818 Conroy Rd. Orlando, FL 32819

Bubbalou's is considered by local residents to be one of the best rib restaurants in the area. You can order at the counter, get a drink and then sit down at a picnic table. You can try the chopped pork sandwiches and the "Texas caviar," cold black-eyed peas in a spicy vinaigrette. In addition to the ribs you can choose from the chicken, lamb and smoked turkey. All of these cooked over an open-pit fire. Be careful for their "killer" sauce, it can destroy your taste-buds! The restaurant has been voted Central Florida and Orlando's Favorite BBQ Restaurant and BBQ Catering Service by the readers of the Orlando Sentinel

IHOP (Many Locations)

This chain has been serving mouth watering breakfasts for over 40 years. They've got a wide variety of pancakes to choose from, including Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Banana Nut Pancakes, Buttermilk Pancakes, Country Griddle CakesSM, and fruit-topped pancakes. They also serve a selection of Crepe Style International Pancakes and French Toast.

Thai Thani

This restaurant is known for its authentic Thai cuisine and the Thai Thani Restaurant is a must-visit destination for lovers of Thai food. In addition to the authentic food, it has a décor to match. Thai artwork and furniture contribute to an ambience that makes you feel like you are dining at a palace in Bangkok.

Hard Rock Cafe Orlando

Located at Universal Studios Orlando in the CityWalk entertainment complex, this Hard Rock Cafe is the biggest HRC in the world and boasts more pieces of rock 'n' roll memorabilia than any other location.

These are just some of the places in Orlando where you can eat to your heart's content and still stay within your budget. Try them out when you come to Orlando.

Diving with Manatees in Crystal River

ORLANDO

If you want an unforgettable experience, take the opportunity that many tour companies offer to swim and interact with the Manatees in the Crystal River where they are present all year round! For diving enthusiasts this is a dive like no other you will have encountered. Most tour companies offer a full day or two day tour and give you the chance to snorkel and dive with the wildly popular animals in small groups. To help protect the animals you should not feed or touch them, these beloved creatures are very curious and will often approach you so you can have a once in a life time up-close experience with these friendly giants when you are lucky enough to go swimming with Manatees.

Most tour operators don't charge extra fees for Snorkel or Diving equipment as they include this within the price. The majority of tour operators also include lunch and with many you can be picked up and dropped off at your hotel so be sure to check the details. Most operators will not allow children under the age of 3 to go swimming with the magnificent Manatees in Florida.

The Manatee (Trichechus manatus) are the State Marine Mammal of Florida and anyone who has dived in the presence of this endangered species will know how beautiful and intelligent they are.

Challenging Dives

For a more challenging Scuba Diving experience visitors to Orlando, Florida can head over to the famous Blue Grotto, being a cavern dive all participants should be at least qualified to Openwater Level One.

When you first enter the Blue Grotto, it appears as though it is only a small pond. In fact depths can reach up to 100ft, there is, however a fresh air bell at 30 ft which will enable you to take off your mask and breath fresh air. As you continue to submerge, you are automatically transported into the 'grand ballroom'.

Devil's Den is a pre-historic cavern carved by Florida's underwater aquifer millions of years ago. Even before entering the water at this site, the views are simply awesome. Upon entering the site stairs have been carved out in nature's very own style, the Limestone stairs lead down about 60 feet.

The cavern has fantastic visibility of up to 100 feet underwater and the giant boulders and tiny swim throughs are decorated with Fossils embedded into the Limestone.

For a day to remember most tour operators will allow you to dive Devil's Den and the Blue Grotto on the same day.

Defining Points in a Partnership Agreement Template

You are venturing into a business partnership with your best friend, your spouse, or your cousin. If you think you are safe from all the business conflicts that arise in most start up ventures because you know your partner very well, think again. Most conflicts and legal contests are because of this ignorant belief. You have to protect not only yourself but also your partner. Hence it is best for you to draw up a partnership agreement template before you decide to commit yourself.

cordon bleu cognac price

There are a few points you need to consider before you look into drawing up a partnership agreement template. These are the issues you need to take notice of and generate set solutions to.

CORDON

• Company Types- All partners should make it clear the possible involvement of the primary business in the future. They should find the ways or possibilities from such idea. This will prevent future conflicts with regards to business growth.

• Structure of the organization- The involved parties should include a well thought organization structure. This should include roles and responsibilities of each partner. Before the start of the business, both parties should have a clear understanding of what they should bring in once the business operates.

• Company Key Objective- For a company to grow, there should be a starting point and a goal. Setting a defined key objective for the business to look forward to is a motivation that will help you grow. It is not set to one aspect only; it may involve bigger financial aspirations or others.

• Dispute Settlement- Two minds working will not always be in harmony with each other. There is always a possibility of conflicts of interests. Foreseeing possible scenarios and setting settlement to solve them should be included in the partnership agreement template. It is crucial to any partnership because it will regulate conflicts before it destroys the business.

• Profit Division- The financial aspect of a business is often the root of all issues. Before going into the commitment, clearly define the profit sharing process and percentage of all parties. This may be based on what each partner will bring into the table- skills, finance, or other wise.

• Partner Compensation- This is with regards to the skill set or manual labor brought in by a partner to the business. It may be likened to an employee compensation, wherein the person is paid for the service he or she renders to the business. If the partner is also the operations manager, the compensation for that job position should be clearly established in the partnership agreement.

• Ownership Issues upon Death of a Partner- A clearly established process of endorsement of ownership, role, and responsibility should be included in the agreement should one of the partners become incapacitated or dies.

• Division of Assets- In the event that a partner or both partners wants to dissolve the business, there should be a clear solution in the partnership agreement template as to how the assets should be divided and how much will go to each partner. Since this will mainly involve financial issues, it is best to set things clearly as this will cause great havoc if not settled.

Defining Points in a Partnership Agreement Template

Gerri Mason is an author of diverse legal documentation. Due to his extensive research and work experience, he is able to share his in-depth knowledge with many people. Cheap Travel Orlando - Great Local Area Restaurants

When looking for cheap travel Orlando tips and advice on local restaurants, the best advice is always going to come from someone who actually lives in the area. I've been a resident in the Central Florida area for most of my life and I love trying new restaurants.

orlando magic snapback

The restaurants and eateries I will mention are not your usual tourist-trap-type places. For those, just stick with International Drive and the theme park areas. The places I will mention here are for those of you who would like to venture away from the theme parks and explore the actual city of Orlando and its outlying areas. So a rental car is needed. Don't try to get to these restaurants using a taxi or other public transportation as this will seriously deplete your vacation budget and ensure this will not be a very good cheap travel Orlando deal!

ORLANDO

For Italian, I normally do not like to eat at chain restaurants. The best Italian restaurants are the family owned type. One that I highly recommend is located in Casselberry, which is considered by locals to be part of Orlando. Palma Maria is family owned and operated since 1981 and located in Summit Plaza at 1015 East Semoran Blvd. This is homemade Italian superbly cooked. A word of warning here though. This is NOT the place to go if you are in a hurry. The pace here can only best be described as "leisurely." What does that mean? Plan on waiting a while for a table to be set up for you and also for your dinner. No one hurries in this place. I usually go with friends and we use the time to talk so it's no problem. Honestly the homemade bread alone is worth the trip though. They bring you an entire loaf of steaming hot, crusty, yeasty bread along with real butter to slather on. The pasta is absolutely delicious. I can't really say a bad word about this place but just remember not to go if you are in a hurry, and this is an excellent cheap travel Orlando tip for a wonderful place to eat.

In the mood for barbecue? I can heartily recommend Backyard Boys Bar B Que. You will find other articles and publications recommending all manner of BBQ restaurants but I've tried most of them and hands down I would want to eat at Backyard Boys. This is a fairly new restaurant to my area but I've already been there about 4 times in the past month alone. The baby back ribs are scrumptious, the BBQ chicken is moist, the service is wonderful, and there are a slew of great sides to choose from. For a cheap travel Orlando deal, this one is right up there. Don't miss it! It is located near the Seminole Town Center Mall in Sanford, another outlying area but not too far off the beaten track.

Now some may not consider this a secret or anything like that, but I simply love Big Boy Restaurant. It used to be called Frisch's many years ago, then they left Florida, and now they are back under simply the name Big Boy. This is not a fancy place but as cheap travel Orlando deals go, it is great for the family. My favorite thing to eat there is the Slim Jim which is like the Buddy Boy that Frisch's used to have. The Big Boy is great too, and the onion rings are hand cut and breaded. They are awesome! But truly the best thing there is the Hot Fudge Cake. This is my all-time favorite dessert. It is so bad for you but oh so delicious. You can find these restaurants scattered around here and there. One is located in Sanford.

These cheap travel Orlando restaurant tips should help you find a great place to dine while in Orlando.

Easy Meal Ideas For Side Dishes

Sometimes coming up with the main dish for meals is the easy part but what to have with it can be the hard question. I usually serve vegetables as my side dish and I'm always trying to come up with new ideas. Here are a few of our favorites.

Potatoes. Try twice baked potatoes adding milk, shredded cheese and ranch dressing. For kids using small potatoes makes these more fun. Another potato dish is to saute hash brown potatoes, either chopped yourself or using frozen hash browns, with onion and season with seasoning salt. Green peppers. Stuffed peppers with rice either with green peppers or using red, yellow, orange or green for fun. Zucchini. Chop zucchini in strips and place on a sheet of tin foil. Sprinkle with butter. Then salt and pepper. You can add other cut vegetables as well. Wrap up and bake in the oven 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stuffed Zucchini is another great option. Carrots. Serve carrots cut in strips with a dip, shredded in a carrot salad or glaze carrots with a little sugar and butter. Cauliflower. Steam and serve with a cheese sauce or bake tossed with garlic butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Broccoli. Stir broccoli florets with a Tablespoon of oil and season with salt and pepper. Roast in a 500 degree oven 10-12 minutes stirring once. Create a broccoli salad with bacon pieces and sunflower seeds or serve raw with a dip.

2 Deliciously British Vegetable Recipes

British cuisine is not known the world-over for its deliciousness. Instead, it is accused of being bland and tasteless. Well personally, I find your American McDonald's hamburgers to utterly tasteless, and don't even get me started on the "subtle" (read, non-existent) flavours of Japanese food. But I digress - British food can be delicious, I'm going to show you just 2 simple recipes that are distinctly British. But not only that - I'm going to step up and really make this a challenge - for not only will the recipes be entirely British - but they will also be entirely vegetable based! Impossible, you cry! Cannot be done, I hear you shout! Making vegetables delicious is hard enough, but making British vegetables delicious would require a miracle, or a cordon-bleu degree as a chef!

Broad Bean Bake:

Broad beans have been cultivated in Britain for hundreds of years now, but were apparently eaten by the Romans and Egyptians too. They were also often served at feasts and banquets in the 16th and 17th centuries, so someone must have liked them. This recipe serves 2:

Ingredients:

- 700g fresh broad beans or 225g frozen broad beans

- 2 medium carrots, cut into largish chunks

- 2 medium parsnips, peeled and cut

- 25g butter

- 25g wholemeal flour

- 300ml or half pint milk

- 2 tablespoons of fresh chopped herbs: chives, parsley, savory, thyme

- 1 teaspoon English mustard

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 2 tablespoons porridge oats

- 50g grated double gloucester cheese

- 25g chopped mixed nuts

Preparation:

Start by shelling the beans then boil some water with a little salt, and boil the beans for 5 minutes.

Add the parsnips and carrots to the boiling water and beans, and carry on boiling for another 10-15 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. If you're using frozen beans instead, just add them for the last 5 minutes. Drain well.

In a small saucepan, add the flour, milk and butter and heat while whisking continuously until the sauce thickens. Simmer for a further 2 minutes.

Stir in the herbs, mustard and vegetables and heat through. Divide it between two oven-proof small casserole dishes. Mix the oats, cheese and nuts and sprinkle on top of the vegetable mixtures. Brown for 3 minutes under a grill and serve!

Runner Beans With Onions and Tomatoes:

Strangely runner beans used to be grown for their pretty flowers and have only really been produced for food since the last century. There grow abundantly in the south of England. This recipe serves 4 - 6.

Ingredients:

- 15g butter

- 1 medium onion, skinned then chopped

- 1 garlic clove, skinned and crush

- 1 can of chopped tomatoes

- 700g young runner beans, cut into 1cm lengths and topped and tailed

- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil

- Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

In a large saucepan, melt the butter and saute the onion and garlic for 3 to 5 minutes, until softened. Add the tomatoes, along with the juice, and simmer for 15 minutes until the juice has been reduced somewhat.

Next, stir in the beans with the basil, cover the pan and simmer for 15 minutes until are tender but still crisp. Season to taste, and this dish is great served either hot or cold.

Orlando Investment Properties

Orlando being one of the biggest tourist destinations in the US offers great investment opportunities in property. With a great rush of tourists flocking in all round the year, investment in apartments and vacation homes translates to fine returns. Apart from obtaining guaranteed accommodation, such investment leads to a regular source of money flow. Once you own a vacation home, you either have the option of renting out for short periods or long ones. With vacation rentals of the first type, your return on investment comes mostly from the increase in value of your property, in addition to the increase in equity resulting from more of your mortgage payment each year being applied to principal, rather than interest. For those who do not want to spend time at their property themselves, one of the best methods to be an active real estate investor is to own long term rental property. With this type of property, you are not bound to being in an area zoned for short term rentals, so you can buy anywhere. However, several areas are much preferred than others and therefore a purchase must be made after considerable research or professional succor.

orlando magic shorts

Rentals are usually for a lease term of about 12 months and the tenants provide their own furniture, pay all the utilities and you can also have them do their own lawn care. You would in this case, of course, have no cleaning fees. The income from long term rental is usually less when compared to short term rental, but the monthly rental is guaranteed, because the tenant is on a lease. This type of investment is ideal for people who are looking more towards capital appreciation, rather than cash inflow. Long term rental is also good as a temporary measure, for those who want to buy property now with a view to perhaps, spending more time in it themselves later.

Know the System to Prune Grape Vines

When growing grapes in your backyard or commercially, to be successful, you have to know how to prune grape vines properly. How you train your vines will influence how you prune them. There is more than one method of training your vines to grow so it is imperative that you consider all options and choose the best one for your specific location.

cordon bleu martell

Numerous gardeners use the system called high cordon to train their vines. They do this because this particular system is fairly easy to start and maintain. With the high cordon-type system the immature vines are tenderly trained by using either one or two main trunks.

CORDON

Creating the fruiting area is again dependent on how the vines are trained:
1. Use the head trained method with canes which are just shoots that have hardened off,
2. Cordons or horizontal arms that are permanent with the canes that are dormant and being pruned back for spurs,
3. Or, the fan-shaped type of arrangement using a structure that is a four-post arbor.

In the cane method each season the new cane are basically laid down. The vines are usually head trained using the top wire. New shoots which are grown in the season will harden into canes and be the diameter of a pencil. Two canes then are chosen and tied onto the upper wire, one cane going left and one going right. You can use twist ties, cloth pieces, or the plastic tape that stretches to tie the canes down. Then count the buds and prune according to the load of fruit desired.

Now the type of system the cordon is has new spurs being created every growth season as the one-year-old canes then they are pruned to only have three or four buds a spur. If you grow the vines using some kind of arbor, then the wood for fruiting can be either spurs or one-year-old canes which are then attached to the cordons at the top area of an arbor.

Pruning techniques differ greatly depending on the kind of grapes being grown too. The French-American and American hybrid types of grapes are more usually found in the backyard gardens opposed to the Vinifera types because they tend to be more disease resistant and winter better. The variety of Vinifera is grown more by the more experienced grape growers.

These all differ in how much fruiting wood they produce yearly. The American varieties have a tendency to have the most vegetation growth, then the French-American is next, and the Vinifera has the least foliage.

The amount that is left of the one-year-old wood after you prune depends on how much vegetation grew in the previous growth season. The basic formula is 30 + 10 +10 for having balanced pruning. This only means that if you prune off 3 pounds from the wood then 30 buds should be kept on counting the first pound then for the second pound leave 10 buds and for the third pound leave 10 buds. 50 buds in all will be left then. This may have to be adjusted depending on the wood trimmed off.

Finches Make the Best Pets

For anyone who is looking to get a pet that is low maintenance, highly entertaining, and extremely forgiving, finches make the best pets.

cordon bleu cognac price

The finches are small and easily kept in cages. The little birds come in a wide variety of colors and patterns. Finches, birds are found in almost all pet stores, so they are easy to purchase. And because they are so common you can buy them in almost any price range.

CORDON

Having finches as pets makes good sense for anyone who works odd hours, or who travels frequently for work. You simply place enough feed and water in the cages for the amount of time you will be gone, and when you come home your pet will be as happy as when you left. When you get back the cage will need some cleaning, but it will be the pets cage that needs cleaned not your rug. Other pets might have accidents on your carpets, tear up your furniture, eat your shoes, or even chew on your telephone and electric cords, but finches will remain in their cage, and be content.

If you have a dog for a pet when you return home from being away, the animal will often pout, and sulk. They will be mad at you for leaving them. If you have a lot of work to do they will demand your attention, even if they have to destroy something to get it. You have to interrupt anything you are doing and take them for walks, or let them outside. You must treat them for fleas and ticks, or they will cause an infestation of your home with these parasites. If all of that sounds like it could be more than you are ready to handle, you should look into finches for pets.

The little bird will never pout because you left, or you did not pet them, and they never need taking outdoors. These creatures really do not like you to handle them very much. They are happy in their little caged world that you provide, as long as you remember to feed, and water them, that is all they need from you.

Try and remember if you want to keep one of these birds as a pet, you will need two birds at least. They are very social with their own species, and are miserable when they are alone. Providing them with a companion will make all the difference in your little feathered friend.

You can, and will be very entertained by watching the antics of these small creatures. They each have their own personalities, and the different species of them have tendencies toward different characteristics of behavior. Some of these animals can sing beautifully, while some never sing.

You will find some species to be aggressive, while others are almost timid. Some of the birds are simply curious, they get along with others unless the others are nesting, and then the curious birds will not leave the parents to be alone.

You will have to explore the different species to find the perfect one for your home.

Planning a Trip to Disney World Orlando? 5 Things to Know

The gigantic Walt Disney World is one of the top tourist attractions in the world. Covering over 47 square miles and containing a huge variety of resorts, theme parks, water parks, golf courses, dining, shopping, and entertainment, the park is the most magical place on Earth. In fact, when planning a trip to Disney theme parts, one of the most important things to be aware of is that you're probably not going to be able to do everything. There's so much to do at Disney that it's best to narrow down your options beforehand. Get together with your family and decide which attractions are most important to you.

orlando magic jersey

Once you have that sorted out, here are five other things you should know about this theme park and the Orlando area.

ORLANDO

1. Disney World seasons Disney World is open year-round, but there are better and worse times to go. If you don't like huge crowds, then you might want to avoid visiting during the Christmas season and the Spring Break season (late February through mid-April). For a less crowded experience, the best times to go include late autumn, January through early February, and the early weeks of May. The summer months are not too bad in terms of crowds, but the Orlando weather can get hot and quite humid.

2. Other Orlando things to do When planning your Disney World trip, keep in mind that you will be right in the middle of the Central Florida region and amidst the Orlando metropolitan area. In Orlando there are tons of other things to see, including Universal Studios, Sea World, a few other theme parks, and several museums. Plus, if you're willing to drive a little more, the area has some very interesting lakes, parks, and wildlife preserves.

3. Non-Disney accommodations While the Disney World resort itself is a great place to stay, with many fun hotels, guests often complain about the high prices of these accommodations. If you're looking to save a little money on your trip, you might want to look into non-Disney hotels. The hotels around the lively International Drive area tend to be a little cheaper, and there are other, more off-the-beaten-path options where you can find incredible deals.

4. Ticket prices When buying tickets and passes to Disney World attractions, consider your options carefully. A common complaint about Disney World is that its ticketing system is complicated and overexpensive, but you can save some money by doing your research beforehand, rather than making your buying decisions on the spot. In the lead-up to your trip, do some reading on the official Disney World website to get clear idea about how the ticket prices work. Otherwise, you may end up spending more than you need to.

5. Transportation Since Disney World is so huge, and because there are lots of other things to do in the Orlando area, you may want to rent a car on your trip. However, it's not completely necessary. There are airport shuttles to get you to and from Orlando International, there are city buses that you can use to get to other spots, Disney World has its own Magical Express shuttle service, and there are also taxis you can call if you get stuck somewhere.

4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 cup grated Asiago cheese, divided
1/3 cup of shredded parmesan cheese

wusthof le cordon bleu

Instructions:

LE CORDON

Heat your oven, and your grill first if you are planning on grilling, and making your own croutons for this recipe. It is not mandatory, as you can substitue precooked shrimp, and already prepared boxed croutons. This is a great meal to serve if you are having family and friends over that are into just hanging out, and having a glass of wine while you prepare dinner. If you would rather not grill your shrimp, then sauté, or boiling is an option. If you do not want to make your croutons, and use pre-made boxed ones, this salad can be made in about 15-20 minutes or less from start to finish.

Place lemon juice, mustard, anchovies, and garlic in a food processor and process until smooth and creamy. With the motor running, gradually add oil, process until creamy. Add 1/4 cup Asiago cheese and pepper, pulse until combined.

Combine romaine, shrimp and croutons in a large bowl. Add the dressing and toss to coat. Divide among 4 plates, or a nice serving dish if you want it to be a more rustic style lunch or dinner service, and then garnish the top of the salad with the remaining 1/4 cup Asiago cheese, 1/3 cup of shredded parmesan cheese, and a few croutons.

Instructions for making Croutons: Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Mix your favorite fresh or dried herbs and spices with 1/4 cup olive or canola oil. Lightly brush flavored oil on both sides of bread slices. Stack as many slices as you can cut at one time. Cut into cubes the size of your choice. Spread cubes in single layer on large baking sheet.

Bake until cubes are dry and crisp. Time will depend on the size and thickness of cubes, about 20-30 minutes, you can cook longer if you want them to be well done. Remove from the oven and land let cool completely. And serve with your favorite salad.
