How to Plan & Design a Tablescape For Rental Stores

Designate an area for the tablescape. Don't rip apart your showroom or table without a design plan. Include in the plan details of tablecloths, plates, china, etc. If you don't have a large area then a small table with a scaled down version of a full-size table display will do.

Have all items ready on hand before you begin and placed nearby. Make sure to iron or steam any tablecloths or fabric that will be used in the display. Use 2 tablecloths an overlay and underlay. When you are ready to begin make sure you use good tables. Don't put great displays over broken tables a customer may want to add tables to their rental sale.

Make sure the centerpiece matches the theme or purchase props for your display.

Place as many rental items that you own on or near the table. Once the table is completed don't stop; think about adding more. Layer more products on the table than normal-add 2 table number holders, extra glasses and a coffee server set. Add covers to your chairs and ties. Add invitations. Add candles.

If the set-up is a wedding theme then place a satin or lace mailbox or a wishing well nearby.

The key is to show a tablescape that will stir your customer's imagination. More items on display may make the table seem a bit crowded but showing items for inspiration is what leads to a multiple rental sale. A good showroom is staged to rent!

Orlando furniture stores are one of the most entertaining spots to learn about the new trends and ideas in interior decorating. A walk around the showroom floor is like a real life interactive lesson in interior design. As you move through the different displays, you are able to get a first hand look at all of the latest colors, materials, and styles available on the market today. You will be able to decide on the styles you prefer, the colors that are pleasing to your eyes, and the textures that work together.

As an added bonus, take advantage of the knowledgeable sales staff found in most Orlando furniture stores. Because the employees see the items that are entering and leaving the store, they know what's hot and what's not. These people will be able to give you some insight into the different fabrics and colors of the year. Don't forget to ask what other's experiences have been with the particular pieces that interest you. The sales people will often be able to tell you how durable a piece is, how well it cleans, and how easy it was to add to into existing decor.

Coordinating Ideas

Even the latest top-of-the-line furniture will not look right in a space unless it is arranged properly and brought together with the right fabrics. Since staff in Orlando furniture stores routinely set up new displays, they know which pieces work best together and how to arrange them the right way. Once you find a piece that you absolutely cannot live without, ask the salesperson what works well with it. He or she will be able to give several suggestions of decor items that may work for you depending on your own personal tastes.

A Personal Design Guide

Many Orlando and Florida furniture stores offer the ideal solution for your interior design problems. Several of these businesses offer a complimentary or low fee interior design service when you purchase one of their products.
