When Visiting Orlando Florida - Some Tips

I have some friends coming from London this year and they asked me where and when to stay - these were my thoughts:

1. In mid summer the weather is very hot, the parks are packed and the lines long

ORLANDO

2. In October or November the weather is cooler and there are fewer tourists. The first three weeks of December are the slowest and it is a lot cooler, but you can get hotel rooms for a steal.

3. If you are coming from Europe you can stay on International Drive. You can walk up and down in the evening and don't need a car as much.

4. If you are coming with a family and don't mind driving a bit you can rent a vacation home - Vacation homes can be very nice, can house many people and can be much cheaper than renting several hotel rooms. They also can offer your own private pool and you can cook in fully equipped kitchens; some homes have up to seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Typically most of the vacation homes are in Kissimmee or Davenport. Check the quality and location before you book.

5. Convenient hotels in Orlando from a European perspective:

-Luxury - Peabody Orlando - Location great, quality great

-Mid Market - Rosen Plaza - Big, great facilities and great location

-Economy - Quality Inn International - Clean, well run and great location

So there you have our opinion and it is only an opinion as many other people may disagree. We don't warrant the hotels we like, its just ones we have had friends stay at and give us the best feed back. There are some great sites out there to check hotel quality - try trip adviser.
